White Peacock

Section Leader: Flo King & Natalie Powell

The white peacock,  is a subspecies of the blue peacock. It's beautiful white 
feathers are created by a genetic mutation that causes loss of pigmentation. 
Microscopic crystals on the feathers, reflect different wave-lengths of light 
resulting in an iridescent masterful shimmer. It is believed in several Asian 
countries that the white peacock brings eternal happiness.
