An integral part of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival parade is the mas band competition, where judges evaluate performances based on costumes, energy, and creativity. The competition to win the best mas band is highly esteemed, adding an exciting competitive element to the parade.
Most of the parade route along Lakeshore Boulevard is free for spectators, but there are ticketed areas within Exhibition Place offering additional amenities like access to food, refreshments, and a closer view of the performances.
