Toronto-based Juno Awards Nominee, R&B Songstress, Singer-Songwriter Melanie Durrant embodies real artistry through her very unique, edgy and soulful music style.

Melanie Durrant embodies the voice, attitude and sound that have blessed Canada and the whole world for years and continues to be a force as an Entertainer in the Music Industry.  She has received multiple accolades though out her career including a Much Music Video Award nom for her single ‘Where I’m Going’ and Stylus Awards winner for Single of The Year for her song ‘Bang Bang’ ft. Kardinal Offishall. In 2013, Melanie Durrant’s reggae influenced lovers rock single ‘Made For Love’ was nominated for Reggae Recording of Year for the 2013 Juno Awards. She then continued with a second consecutive nom at the 2014 Juno Awards for R&B Recording of the Year for her single ‘Gone’.

This multi-talented artist was also a featured performer in the Canadian production of Rent. Being a regular in the ensemble allowed her to work with her good friend/cast mate Jill Scott (Hidden Beach/ Epic Records).

In addition to performing her own shows for audiences across Canada and the U.S., Melanie Durrant has shared the stage alongside Jay Z, 50 Cent, Jill Scott, Common, Sean Paul, Cissy Houston, Kardinal Offishall as well as many of Canada’s top artists. She has graced such magazines as Honey and Coco. Melanie has performed and done interviews with MuchMusic Canada, MTV Canada, Star Daily, CTV Network to name a few. She has had a variety of video production releases under her belt aired nationally on MuchMusic Canada. Her songs have been in high rotation on Toronto radio including 9.35 The Move (formerly known as Flow 93.5) and G987, as well as other radio stations across Canada. Melanie Durrant’s music has been featured on numerous compilation releases and DJ mixtapes around the world.

Melanie Durrant released her sophomore album ‘Anticipation’ in 2015.  Full of melodic surprises heavenly harmonies and bold direction, with lead single ‘By Your Side’ and new fan favourite ‘Mr. Wonderful’.

Merna

Palestinian Born, Toronto based multi-disciplinary artist, Merna (formerly known as Ayah) She began her career under the name Ayah, notably releasing the R&B mixtape Problem Woman in 2008 featuring production work from acclaimed Toronto producer Slakah the Beatchild. Steadily building up a following south of the border, she'd go on to record Back For More, the stellar joint album with DJ Jazzy Jeff (of Fresh Prince fame) and in 2014 album, ‘The Calling’ to a stylistic shift to ‘Sans’ in 2017 which Merna blissfully spreads her wings in a space and time where evolution is imment with reflection of music and life. After creating magical soundscapes with the likes of DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jill Scott) and James Royser (The Roots), releasing her dynamic album The Calling featuring stellar production by Makai Black and executive producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest, Lucy Pearl), she brazenly forays into the world of art, production, and composition with her self-produced offering, ‘Sans’.

Impressively melding minimalistic sound design, striking chords, classic songwriting, and melodic elements of pop, soul, and classical, evolution never sounded so sweet, Sans her latest EP released this Summer 2017 and is poised to put Merna in a position as a producer/writer to reckon with.
