Paris-based தமிழ் dancer, choreographer and movement director Usha Jey took the world by storm when her Hybrid Bharatham series went viral on social media. As her notoriety grew, she’d then be tapped by Virgil Abloh and Off-White to choreograph rapper M.I.A’s performance for the label’s runway show in 2021, in what would become a career-defining moment. Since then, Usha has performed at high-profile events like Vogue World Runway in New York City and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK.

Now for the first time ever, Usha will be hosting a 2-day choreography workshop in Toronto, Canada.
 

This is an experience you don’t want to miss.
 

NOTE: These classes are not intended for foundational work. The hip-hop choreography is at an advanced level, however dancers at any level are encouraged to come out, learn and challenge themselves. Kuthu choreography will be open to all levels. The first and last half hour of each class will be dedicated to warm up as well as a question and answer period respectively - the choreographed class is two hours.
